At Xbox Live Arcade you can already download Sonic the Hedgehog 1 and 2 "HD." But that's not what I mean. These are only copy ports of the original that also run a bit sloppy, without a steady framerate, and, thus, stand in no comparison to the fan-made project Sonic 2 HD running at a native resolution of 1280x960 at 60 FPS--that's even higher than what most "next-gen" games run at. UPDATE: Lombardi now revealed that Portal Still: Alive will only feature new levels from Portal: The Flash Version. This fan-created game and its user-generated levels can be played for free here. If you already own the Orange Box for the Xbox 360, then Portal: Still Alive might have lost some appeal now ... Namco Bandai announced that Soulcalibur IV, the newest sequel to the weapon-based fighting game franchise, has gone gold for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. Microsoft Resets Gamerscore For CheatersMicrosoft is beginning to crack down on Xbox Live users who have achieved artificially inflated Gamerscores without actually playing the Xbox 360 games to get those achievements. Some people have managed to register achievements that show up on Gamercards and contribute to those people's Gamerscores by using cheats such as introducing save game files without actually playing the game. more...
