ValveValve Adds Ingame DLC Support to Steam

Valve today announced that the first in-game DLC is available on Steam. The content in question is Twisted Pixel Games' title The Maw. This new support of in-game DLC means that developers and publishers can now sell their content from within their games, instead of doing so on the Steam storefront. Valve writes:

Update: Rest assured, the madness has been fixed without a patch. How? Read below. Left 4 Dead on the PC had its share of bugs, exploits, and hacks. Most of it has been patched by now, such as the Witch "Hug" bug. However, some resourceful hackers have just discovered that there's also an Xbox 360 version of Valve's popular zombie-coop shooter!
