Left 4 Dead demo planned, to offer online coop as well
Last updated on September 11, 2008 - 00:36.
The zombie coop-shooter, Left 4 Dead is set for release on November 1 this year. However, Xbox 360 and PC gamers alike may be able to take the game for some test-shooting in co-op and singleplayer demo play. VideoGamer has caught word that Gabe Newell, managing director of Valve, confirmed those plans for a Left 4 Dead demo at Leipzig Games Convention. Which level the demo will feature is still uncertain, though, as Doug Lombardi, Valve's master chief, has the final word here. "It'll probably be Hospital," the demo level that was show-cased to the press already, states Newell. more...

Valve's promise: Left 4 Dead to be much more console-friendly
Last updated on August 31, 2008 - 18:40.
Team Fortress 2 for the Xbox 360 (that came along with the Orange Box) is, in contrast to its PS3 counterpart, a great port of its own but one that still lacks severe support in form of new content (e.g. the "Heavy Update" that PC gamers already got long time ago). Valve wants to make it better this time, and takes a new approach towards the console support for their upcoming coop zombie shooter. Left 4 Dead is to become much more console-friendly--with dedicated servers, and more DLC on the Xbox 360. more...

Valve's new multiplayer-horror-shooter Left 4 Dead won't be released on the 4th November this year. It's not two months ago, Gabe Newell (Valve's CEO) announced this date. But it seems the game needs more time. The official new release date: 20/11/2008.

No new plot for Portal: Still Alive (Update)

UPDATE: Lombardi now revealed that Portal Still: Alive will only feature new levels from Portal: The Flash Version. This fan-created game and its user-generated levels can be played for free here. If you already own the Orange Box for the Xbox 360, then Portal: Still Alive might have lost some appeal now ... Despite what we initially thought, Portal: Still Alive for Xbox Live Arcade will not continue the story-line around GlaDOS and you, its captured test subject. more...
