Left 4 Dead demo planned, to offer online coop as well

The zombie coop-shooter, Left 4 Dead is set for release on November 1 this year. However, Xbox 360 and PC gamers alike may be able to take the game for some test-shooting in co-op and singleplayer demo play. VideoGamer has caught word that Gabe Newell, managing director of Valve, confirmed those plans for a Left 4 Dead demo at Leipzig Games Convention. Which level the demo will feature is still uncertain, though, as Doug Lombardi, Valve's master chief, has the final word here. Team Fortress 2 for the Xbox 360 (that came along with the Orange Box) is, in contrast to its PS3 counterpart, a great port of its own but one that still lacks severe support in form of new content (e.g. the "Heavy Update" that PC gamers already got long time ago). Even though Valve has more or less promised to release a huge TF2 title update by the end of the year (for a few Microsoft points), Xbox players world-wide still suffer from hideously laggy TF2 matches. Valve wants to make it better this time, and takes a new approach towards the console support for their upcoming coop zombie shooter. Valve's new multiplayer-horror-shooter Left 4 Dead won't be released on the 4th November this year. It's not two months ago, Gabe Newell (Valve's CEO) announced this date. But it seems the game needs more time. The official new release date: 20/11/2008.
