user-reviewFantasy Wars (PC) - updated
Last updated on May 31, 2008 - 00:06.
Chances are that a hexagon and turn based strategy game from a Russian developer is not exactly what you're looking for in a time where World of Conflict is out and Empire Earth 3 is coming up. But for all those 300 people worldwide who still fondly remember SSI's Fantasy General, more...

And Yet It Moves (PC)
Last updated on May 30, 2008 - 22:38.
And Yet It Moves is a very neat and charming game for the coffee break, which lets you play as a character made out of paper moving through landscapes that mostly consist of ripped paper as well, which leads to a very arty style of the game. Your mobility is quite restricted, because you can only move to the left and the right as well as jump. more...

Warhammer 40K Squad Command (DS)
Last updated on May 30, 2008 - 22:46.
Strategy is one of the genres Nintendo DS is most suited for (at least when it's in the turn based variety), but so far, only Advanced Wars DS and Age of Empires: Age of Kings have stood out. With Fire Emblem DS still a couple of months away, Warhammer 40.000 Squad Command from THQ tries to fill the gap. And it does, although it's not perfect.

Reprobates (PC)
Last updated on May 30, 2008 - 22:39.
First off: Let me start with saying that you will passionately learn to hate this game. It will be hard to keep avoiding puns including the word "nightmare" during this review, because it would just fit to gameplay, design, story and to one main feature of the game brilliantly, but I will try my best. You'll read this pun in other reviews to the game often enough. more...

Portal (PC)
Last updated on June 2, 2008 - 10:39.
Portal is a puzzle type game, in which you place portals to make your way to the end of each level. You shoot a small energy ball which opens a portal on impact. Portal starts with babysteps. You begin with a minimalistic UI (only a crosshair) and nothing in your hands while you listen to a nice voice which tells you what's going on. more...

Shadowgrounds (PC)
Last updated on May 30, 2008 - 22:40.
It might at first glance sound a bit odd to talk about reviewing an oldie here, for as far as we know it from the music industry oldies can mostly be found in the 50's, 60's or 70's; and this is an era where the roots of Shadowgrounds obviously don't lie. more...
