Crysis reviewed

Superb technology, astonishing graphics, crisp sound and, most importantly, missions and situations right out of a top action movie – Crysis is the dream of every action player. And that’s only talking about the solo mode, there is a huge Multiplayer component, too. But some aspects of Crytek’s second 3D shooter are deeply flawed. For example, the A.I. can be brilliant and lifelike – or just plain stupid. Nine of the eleven acts of the game are very well done – two are not. Read our 10 page multimedia review to find out more.

First off: Let me start with saying that you will passionately learn to hate this game. It will be hard to keep avoiding puns including the word "nightmare" during this review, because it would just fit to gameplay, design, story and to one main feature of the game brilliantly, but I will try my best. You'll read this pun in other reviews to the game often enough. more...

It might at first glance sound a bit odd to talk about reviewing an oldie here, for as far as we know it from the music industry oldies can mostly be found in the 50's, 60's or 70's; and this is an era where the roots of Shadowgrounds obviously don't lie. more...
