No Fable 2 for PC Gamers

fable 2.jpg
Germany —

Lionhead has now destroyed hope for many PC players out there, by stating that they are not working on a PC port of its prosperous RPG Fable II. This comes as somewhat unexpected, as they did not deny a PC version so far, and because they did port the first Fable.

Lionhead Patches Fable 2 (once again)

Germany —

Lionhead released a new patch for their RPG Fable 2 via Xbox Live. Apart from some unspecified fixes that Lionhead didn't explain any further, the update mainly addresses some quest bugs, and your children can't become assassination targets anymore. Knothole Island had also been added to the Albion map in preparation of the new DLC "Knothole Island" next week. Lionhead mentions the following fixes in more detail: more...

Germany —

Interesting bit of news for all of those players who have been looking jealously over to the Xbox 360 release of Fable 2. The German gaming website Gamona claims that they have been informed about the release date for the PC version of Fable 2. According to Gamona, that is February 15th 2009. more...

Does Peter Molyneux finally deliver with Fable 2?

fable_2_screen1 (1).jpg
Germany —

Well: It has not been too good a time for Peter Molyneux during the last couple of years. Every single game he made since Black & White has been announced as a revolution for the gaming genre, probably it's even safe to say that games from Peter Molyneux are responsible for bringing the "hype" into gaming culture. But: He was never really able to deliver on the promises he made. more...

Fable 2 Coop Patch Available at Launch IF ...

fabledayone.jpg
Germany —

Fable fans and those who pre-ordered Fable 2 because of the online coop mode felt irritated when they heard that Fable 2 would not feature a fully working online coop mode at the game's launch (see news here). Time to relax, fellow Fable-arians: The Lionhead guys have worked hard to make sure the patch is ready for you to download when loading up the game at its release, October 21 (Oct. 24 for our European, and Oct. 18th for our Japanese gamers) ... if, if, if ... more...

Fable 2: No coop mode at launch

fablecoop2.jpg
Germany —

One of the biggest selling points of Fable 2 was surely not the new companion cube dog feature, even though Peter Molineux wanted us to just believe that. The new coop mode in Fable is actually the hottest feature to most gamers. Xbox Live friends are seen as glowing orbs in your Fable 2 world. Join their Fable world with your character (or vice versa) and get it on together over Xbox Live at any time. Or maybe not at any time, at least not at Fable 2's launch time. As Microsoft employee Sara N reported on Gamerscore, Fable 2 will make it into the gamestore shelves on October 21. But without a fully working coop mode at first. more...

Fable 2: How to Start with 2000 Gold and 15 Exclusive Items

Germany —

Every MMO does it, now Fable 2 does it, too: When you pre-order the game from September 29 (the release date is October 21), you get three Fable 2 Pub Games (Keystone, Spinnerbox and Fortune's Tower) via Xbox Live Marketplace for free. This is done via a code card you get when ordering. So you obviously can play the mini games before Fable 2 comes out. more...

Fable 2 Pub Games Cheat: a Bluff à la Molyneux?

fable2pub.png
Germany —

The Fable 2 Pub Games is a collection of board and card games on Xbox Live that allows players to earn some Fable money that they can take over into the game world of Fable 2 then. While playing Tower of Fortune it is possible to make use of a gold glitch (video) with which you can amass millions most quickly and easily. However, Molyneux let the IGN guys know though that "the cheat was no accident and that those who used it to earn their money will be in for a surprise." more...

E3: Big Round-up of the Microsoft Press Conference

Microsoft Press Event.JPG
Germany —

The Microsoft press event took place in a part of the L.A. Convention Centers' West Hall, in former days one of the two main halls of the E3. Don Mattrick, formerly of EA and since July 2007 boss of everything Xbox, Games for Windows and Live, started by saying that Xbox is the greatest, best, most successful et cetera. more...
