Cryptic Studios, developers of the MMO's City of Heroes and City of Villains, put a countdown timer in the games section on their website very recently, which will end on July 27th. In the background of the countdown you can see a picture that clearly has to do something with a science-fiction setting (asteroid-rain and planets can be seen). Someone already mentioned that City of Heroes just turned four years old. NCsoft’s City of Heroes team released some fun facts about the game to celebrate:

NCsoft has entered into an agreement with Double Fusion to bring advertising to the world of City of Heroes and City of Villains.

NCsoft says that it "will dedicate all advertising dollars it earns to fund further game development for the online titles, yet still allow players to opt out of advertising in order to provide flexibility to community members." more...
