Halo 3: Mythic to be Bungie's big Halo surprise?

Apparently, PAX 08 holds some more interesting surprises than the E3 this year on which Microsoft didn't allow Bungie to lose any words over their big, yet-to-be-made Halo announcement. It now seems that the veil of silence might have been lifted a bit. While Bungie has announced and already show-cased the new Halo 3 map Assembly (a purple colored Covenant map), AddictGaming has stumbled upon some new and exquisite Halo stuff straight from the Bungie Booth at PAX. It's been hinted in several videos by Bungie themselves that the fight but not the ride is over yet. Microsoft and Bungie have launched the Halo 3 Legendary Map Pack as a download from Xbox Live.

The three maps cost 800 points ($10 or €10). "Avalanche" is based on a map from the original Halo called "Sidewinder," but is larger and introduces the Horney to multiplayer Halo 3 games. more...

Bungie showed off Halo 3 at E3 2007. Compared to it's predecessor (which was recently released for PC), Bungie worked heavily on improving the graphics, which are up to current standards now.
