Bethesda Softworks kindly released new screenshots for its upcoming role-playing game Fallout 3, confirming the return of the franchise's most popular canine buddy, Dogmeat.

Fallout 3 is being developed for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC for a release late this year. Bethesda Softworks describes the game:

European gamers should find the process of getting Bethesda Softworks games a little easier. Zenimax Media, the parent of Bethesda Softworks, the company behind the Elder Scrolls games and Fallout 3, is opening Zenimax Europe to publish games in Europe under the Bethesda label.

While checking some release dates a couple of minutes ago, I noticed what Amazon.com says about Fallout 3: "This item will be released on September 28, 2008".
