In this inverview on Computerandvideogames.com, Doug Lombardi told that the people at Valve would like to create a game for kids. They would get rid of the big guns they normally have in their games and swap the mouse with the Wiimote. This sounds really cool, but you shouldn't get too anxious with this, because he also said:
"I mean, I'm not making any announcements", he continued, "but there's a lot of desire internally to do something for kids, do something on the Wii."
So is he just blabbering?
...it's not going to be this year or next.
So, if you want to play it, you still could get the children you need for it in time...
Or start with a wii, if you don't have it .)

BTW: He also said that it's possible that they could make an MMO, so I guess they're keeping all their options open at the moment.
