Bioshock PC demo now available (3. Update)Bioshock PC demo now available (3. Update)
Last updated on August 23, 2007 - 22:18.
With the Xbox 360 demo of Bioshock already available through the Xbox Live marketplace, developer Irrational Games updated its community website with news on a PC version:
It is presumed, that content and extent of the PC and Xbox 360 demo will be similar. Playing through the console appetizer takes you at least around 15 minutes -- depending on your pace. If you can't wait to see what's offered, demo walkthrough video #1 and #2 will give you a full tour. Also mind having a peek at the 60 seconds launch trailer. Bioshock will be released August 21st in the U.S. and August 24th in Europe. Update: According to Elizabeth Tobey over at The Cult of Rapture, the demo will be out on August 20th. At 7 PM EST the BioShock PC demo will go live for you to enjoy. We will have exclusive pre-loading at Fileplanet. 2. Update: The "Bioshock demo" (1,87 GBytes) is already available from file sharing sites. According to an ongoing discussion over at imagecomics.com, people have a workaround to use pre-loaded files from Fileplanet.com before activation. Screenshots can be found in the official 2k forums. 3. Update Here's a list of available mirrors and in case you run into troubles with the graphics, try the beta drivers by Nvidia or the ATI hotfix:

The Bioshock demo was released early on Fileplanet briefly, and by some magic of internet technology, it has now arrived on the file-sharing scene. Fileplanet was planning an exclusive demo release on Tuesday, but the cat is out of the bag now.
Hay I got xp!
I got another xp!
hmmm.
I think i found a possible exploit.
How u mean? Like comment spamming for exp? Cause it's intentional that you gain 1 exp for posting a comment -- posting news gets you 10 exp. Depending on your exp, you level up and get access to more features.
Yep I was referring to the spamming for xp... it wouldn't be very hard to point a spam-bot here and get basically unlimited XP. I do rly like the xp idea tho (being a MMO gamer, I thrive on XP).
This great game needs no demo, go buy it.
I bought it on steam.
