Ubisoft confirmed today that it plans to release a new Prince of Persia game in time for the 2008 holiday season for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. The game is being developed at Ubisoft Montreal (the same studio that has worked on past Prince of Persia games and on Assassin’s Creed).

Based on this news item, it seems likely the game will be called Prince of Persia: Prodigy. Ubisoft didn’t reveal many details, but did confirm the game would have a new art style, and that a unique version would be released for the DS.
