Electronic Arts announced that when Madden NFL '09 reaches stores on August 12, the cover athlete will be former Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre.

The game will ship for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, Xbox, PlayStation 2, DS and PSP. As previously announced, there will not be a PC version of this latest Madden football game.
