Nintendo announced its financial results for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2008.

For the year, Nintendo reported sales of ¥1.67 trillion (around $16 billion) – 73% higher than in the previous year. Nintendo also estimates that it shipped 18.61 million Wii consoles to its customers worldwide over the course of the year, bringing the total number of Wii consoles shipped as of March 31 to 24.45 million.
