Square Enix has shipped The World Ends With You for the DS to stores in North America.

The World Ends With You has players taking on the role of 15-year-old Neku Sakuraba who awakens in the Shibuya shopping district of Tokyo. He then receives text messages informing him that he will vanish from existence if he doesn't complete certain tasks.

The game sets out to blend cutting-edge Japanese fashion and culture with a battle system that has gamers using the touchscreen to control two protagonists in battle at the same time.
