You Have To Burn The Rope (PC)You Have To Burn The Rope (PC)

No. Actually I am just making fun with this caption. You know: It is not really possible to write a review (and be it a Mini-Review) about a flash-based game that only last five minutes, already including the credits. But still: It is worth writing a little article about, because it actually is far more a homage than it is an actual game. You can find trailers of the game on the internet as well as you can find speed-runs; and you will only know how ridiculous the latter ones are once you have given this game a chance yourself. The point is: You should not look at these trailers. You should avoid them like hell. They would actually spoil a lot of the fun for you. Why is "You Have To Burn The Rope" a homage? I can tell you. It is a homage because it kneels down deep in front of Portal and says: "You are the reason for my life." Of course you know Portal. You know Portal because it is basically the uber-game of 2007 and even if you haven't played it you will probably still have heard about the brilliant catch at the end with the fabulous credits song. And this is what "You Have To Burn The Rope" basically is. It is about the credits song. There's nothing more to it than that. Apart from a giant grinning colossus. But those are things you should really see for yourself. Are you still there? Come on. Didn't I tell you you should see for yourself? You could have already played through the game not less than twice while waiting here and reading this article. Now go. Have fun. Burn the rope. And yes: It really is that simple.

Could someone please add this picture: http://b.imagehost.org/0475/burnrope.jpg? Thank you very much.
I think they want a certain width (600px)
I tried to make the width bigger but it somehow won't work.
I recommendthe GIMP for everything which has to do with pictures...
Oh yes, good advice. But now it already worked with IrfanView. Thanks anyway.
I will. Only 600 EXP to go, and you'll be able to post your own pictures :-) (and yes, they need to have 600 pixel width). Thanks for the Mini-Review, + 10 EXP
Thank you. I was finally able to widen the picture thanks to IrfanView: http://b.imagehost.org/0476/burnrope.jpg
I played it already, and I wrote an article on GG, but decided that it wasn't a real news, so I deleted it again. It didn't come to my mind that I could have written a review :)
It obviously came to MY mind. Which is just again proof that my mind is sometimes a bit crazy. ;)
Bad luck :-) Actually, I think a Mini-Review is the only way to go for this, too.
you can see my try in the version history of the article "Assassin's Creed gets very good reviews"
I didn't exactly know how to delete it, so I changed everything and created a new article ;)
I just was in th<t "this is soo cool"-mood you sometimes have 3 minutes after finding a cool thing on the internet, so I wrote it down and later thought about it again. I should think some more next time...
Oh noes, I can't hurt it with my weaponz!!!!!!!!1111
You certainly can't. Be afraid. Be very afraid.
I am thinking about creating a mod for this games. New enemies, new models for the main character, a different hat, for example.
If you want to join, let me know!
With scissors instead of torches. And you can then call it "You Have To Cut The Rope". ;)
But I don't know anything about mod development, not event the slightest tiny bit. Which is a shame.
Well, I have no (useful) programming skills whatsoever, but I can use paint...
I think I can see a trend: games get shorter ;/
I really want to see that quickrun but it won't load ^^
Games have been getting shorter for many years now, but this is ridiculous :-)
It's a bit on the easy side (duh), but if it's a trend to have great credit screens with an awesome aduio track, then I welcome it.
But Portal still takes the cake in this area, ehmm, I mean...surpasses everything.
