Dogmeat Joining Fallout 3

Bethesda Softworks kindly released new screenshots for its upcoming role-playing game Fallout 3, confirming the return of the franchise's most popular canine buddy, Dogmeat.

Fallout 3 is being developed for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC for a release late this year. Bethesda Softworks describes the game:

For 200 years, Vault 101 has faithfully served the surviving residents of Washington DC and its environs, now known as the Capital Wasteland. Though the global atomic war of 2077 left the US all but destroyed, the residents of Vault 101 enjoy a life free from the constant stress of the outside world. Giant Insects, Raiders, Slavers, and yes, even Super Mutants are all no match for superior Vault-Tec engineering. Yet one fateful morning, you awake to find that your father has defied the Overseer and left the comfort and security afforded by Vault 101 for reasons unknown. Leaving the only home you've ever known, you emerge from the Vault into the harsh Wasteland sun to search for your father, and the truth.

Now we finally know that not only will the game take players from the West Coast of the former U.S.A. to that nation's capital, it will reintroduce Dogmeat, the lovable mutt companion previous vault dwellers have picked up while strolling the wastelands.

Cool, I am happy for every bit of information I can get about Fallout 3.
I don't like dogmeat, though. And he doesn't like me. Always took a whole clip to get him down. And I just found out how to get him by looking it up in a walkthrough, so I feel a bit cheated by him...

And I don't like the 3rd screenshot on that page, the Ghoul looks rather shiny, so does the chair, I always thought these Ghouls wouln't be that clean individuals.
But...

Maybe,
I should just see,
how all the boys
get it done...
ba dimm ba dimm ba dimm ba...

I on the other hand can't wait for that game, when I read today in what manner the tutorial is done, it really rekindled my love for the franchise. Sure, I'm not happy with all the design choices, but I'm sure I will enjoy the game when it's out.

P.S. The picture above is one damn great screenshot.
