Square Enix confirmed that it "will launch a completely re-envisioned Final Fantasy IV for the DS on July 22.

In Final Fantasy IV, four elemental Crystals begin corrupting the land, setting off a wave of war and political intrigue that risks tearing the world apart.

This new take on the classic game (that claims to be the first to feature the "Active Time Battle System") will feature fully 3D graphics and fully voiced cut-scenes in addition to head-to-head battles with other (local) players using the DS wireless connection.
