Germany —

Today, Electronic Arts finally announced the release date for the coming triple A shooter Crysis, which is the spiritual successor of the acclaimed FarCry. There is a good chance that Crysis will be the best looking shooter you will see this year, as it's explosions, day/night cycles, detailed dynamic shadows, destructible vegetation and vehicles, physical effects, skeletal animations (and whatever else) are already outstanding in the DirectX9 version we have seen a couple of times. With DirectX 10 graphic boards, the game should look even better. As Cevat Yerli, CEO of Germany based developer Crytek puts it: "Our goal is to constantly push back the boundaries in technology and gameplay!" We at GamersGlobal are definitely looking forward to play this one -- although the combination of fighting against (and later alongside) North Korean soldiers in order to repel Alien invaders might feel a little weird.
