Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut Available for the PC

United States —

Ubisoft's game Assassin's Creed: Director's Cut is now in stores in North America for the PC.

The game is very similar to the version of the game released for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, in which a bartender in the year 2012 is transported back to the third crusade to relive events in the life of his ancestor, Altair.

In addition to the flexible running and climbing engine, assassinations and mini-missions, the PC version adds four new types of missions, including rooftop races, archer assassinations, escort challenges and challenges to destroy merchant stands.

Did you just spoil the important story details?
I won't play it anyway, just a question...

They're in the intro of the game and the manual. If I wanted to spoil the important story details I'd tell you that in the game the Templars have control of powerful corporations and plan to launch an ancient artifact into orbit to control all of humanity.

ah ok - cool ;)
Well, the story doesn't seem much different to all the other things. Makes me think of Broken Sword - Good Game!

Darn, the german version is out as well, but I ordered the english version of course, and have to wait until the 14th, maybe I just choose the wrong online-shop?

But that's a good question, to all german users: Where do you buy your english versions?

In England, when I visit my friends there (once a month). US is possible, too, got some friends there as well, they buy it and send it to me :)

(many exchange-students in my student hostel)

Before that I used susislittleshop.de, but didn't order something there for a few years.

well, the most obvious idea would be to order at amazon.co.uk, or amazon.com, but shipping and VAT will be so brutal that you could nearly buy two German versions for that.

For a time I ordered at play.com (based in the UK), the have pretty much everything you could want, and have affordable prices too, but sometimes the package would get stuck in customs, and it would take two weeks or longer until I received something.

Currently I'm ordering at Okaysoft.de and am very happy with that, it's finally a German retailer who has all the english and US versions I need, and since they are shipping from Germany, the costs are according to expectations.

If you know any other great pages that are based in Germany, please let me know.
