Gauntlet Coming to the DS
Eidos (part of SCi Entertainment) confirmed that it plans to release a version of the classic coin-op arcade game Gauntlet on the DS this summer.
Gauntlet is being developed for the DS by Foundation9's Backbone Entertainment studio and will not only allow multiplayer games using the DS WiFi connection, it will support voice commuinication using the DS microphone.
This version of the game will also add deathmatch and team deathmatch-style play supported by ranked leaderboards to the 40 maps in the cooperative campaign. Of course, there will still only be the Elf, Wizard, Warrior and Valkyrie available for play, and at some point, all of them will "need food badly." The game is licensed from Midway.

ahh the memories....overwhelming. But Deathmatch? Sounds kinda strange, Gauntlet was always a Coop-Game, adding a deathmatch simple because every game has deathmatch these days sounds just wrong.
