Fans have managed to get Quake III running on an iPhone and on an iPod Touch, as you can see on this blog. Three years ago, the source code of the game was published under the GLP for everyone, so there is a constant development by fans.
But the really cool thing is that you control the game by tilting your iPhone, which is probably much easier than using buttons. Hopefully they will share the fun with others...

Yay, a picture!

A few years ago, I played DOOM on my Gameboy Advance, it was cool, but my thumbs were totally on the fritz after a few hours. The tilting looks much easier, although it could be slower and less precise

The cool thing is u can tilt the phone and no finger cramps folks!!!

That's exactly what I'm thinking. I tried to play it on my Win Mobile Device months ago, but walking, turning and strafing was just a pain...
