Harrison Moves to InfogramesHarrison Moves to Infogrames

Phil Harrison departed Sony at the end of last month. Harrison has been with Sony for around 15 years and most recently was the President of Sony Computer Entertainment Worldwide Studios. Yesterday, Infogrames confirmed that Harrison will join Infogrames. Harrison has been appointed the President and Directeur General Delegue of Infogrames. In this position, Harrison will oversee Infogrames’ operations, with particular attention to the company’s studios. Infogrames has been struggling to turn itself around (as well as its Atari subsidiary and Atari brand), and Harrison is a logical man to bring in to set things right. While Harrison faces a daunting task, the announcement contained an optimistic statement from the former Sony executive: “This is the perfect time to join Infogrames and help shape the future of Atari – one of the industry’s legendary brands. As the game business moves rapidly online I believe we have an outstanding opportunity to create amazing network game and community experiences for players the world over. I am especially excited to be working on this challenge together with David, one of the most respected leaders and successful executives in our industry.”
