The Witcher Enchanced Edition AnnouncedThe Witcher Enchanced Edition AnnouncedCD Projekt Red released a press release on Monday, February 18 announcing The Witcher Enhanced Edition, an (as the name states) enhanced edition of the game that will be "devoid of all of the major criticisms levied at the original release." The Witcher has sold over 600,000 copies, which is not a bad statistic, but it was highly critisized for its stability problems, technical difficulties, long loading times and that the English version of the game was shallow compared to other languages.CD Projekt promises to deal with all those issues, for example the loading times will be cut by 1/4, and the English version has already been completely re-vamped.New NPC's will also be added, as much as 50, and their animation will improve. The new content will be available to download for free, to registered users. And if you dont have a copy yet, you will get the new content when you buy the game. The official press release and more information can be found at The official website

all people I know who played that game liked it. I should have a look at it. If I manage to scrape the time together :)
Give it a try if you like RPGs, All titels that I bought in '07 disappointed me, but the Witcher delivered.
What's it like storywise? If the story (and atmosphere) is good, and quests and fights aren't all too repetitive, I guess I'd consider giving it a try, now that it's been patched somewhat. ;)
Well, it might be a different experience for you, but there was a quest-line in Chapter2, which was really great, it was infact the best well written story that I had the pleasure to enjoy in many years. (I'm only talking about RPGs, Books are another league, of course).
