Nvidia is going to buy Ageia

Germany —

As Nvidia announced on their Homepage yesterday, they reached an agreement to acquire Ageia. Ageia is the company that is developing the PhysX cards, which are made to accelerate physic-calculations in computer games, such as falling objects, or moving water.

This is good news for gamers (at least the ones that buy Nvidia products), since up to this point they were trapped in a vicious circle, where they were waiting for more games to support this card, and game developers were waiting for more gamers to buy these cards.

So if the next card from Nvidia, or probably the card after that, will support the PhysX-technologie, there are bound to be more games coming out, that will support this as well.
