Tiberium: Documentation + Footage (Update)Tiberium: Documentation + Footage (Update)
Last updated on January 29, 2008 - 11:36.
The first in-game footage of the freshly announced Tiberium hits the web. Gametrailers.com documents a visit to the EA Studios in Los Angeles, USA and talks to Chris Plummer, the Executive Producer of the Command & Conquer based shooter. Sadly though, their Tiberium coverage is hacked into pieces, interrupted by bits on other not-Tiberium-games. But luckily, the folks at nofrag.com made the effort and composed a 3:17 min. video with nothing but in-game footage of Tiberium. Update: Another Tiberium video surfaced, showing what appears to be one coherent mission. The footage runs for 5:58 min. and consist of nothing but gameplay.

This, in many ways, reminds me of Star Wars: Republic Commando.
Yeah, same here.
I liked C&C: Renegade pretty much (if it was called like that). Dunno what I should think of all these new shooters that draw a terribly pale-gray world. Is it the engine?! Where are the colors gone?! (SEGA!)
Liked the idea behind Renegade, but didn't like the game due to its "we'll drop you on this side of this super linear level and you'll try to get to the other" approach over and over again.
As for Tiberium: Wonder why EA didn't go for the Crysis engine -- wasn't there a rumor about just that? So far, it sure looks a tad dull and as Flix mentioned, tremendously similar to Republic Commando.
Are you sure this is Tiberium? I didn't recognize anything of the C&C universe.
At least C&C:Renegade looked like a Tiberium War.
> Are you sure this is Tiberium?
How you mean?
Well it's obviously Tiberium and I was hinting on the game not resembling any known objects of the C&C universe.
Well i just hope they support this game better than they did Renegade... which was dropped quite quickly after the first patch. Liked that one quite much, i hope they don't botch this one.
Screw the graphics not beeing top-notch, if the game is fun and well-done that's not so important, the best graphics couldn't save the game for me if it was badly done, unfair and buggy as hell.
