New Patch for Starcraft and Broodwar Released

United Kingdom —

Blizzard has recently released a new patch for its popular RTS Starcraft and it's expansion pack, Broodwar, updating both titles to v1.15.2. The patches are available for both Windows and Mac, and weigh in at roughly 10Mb for Starcraft and 25Mb for Broodwar.

With this update, the games no longer require the CD to run the game.

I guess that, after all these years that StarCraft is in the market, illegal copies are no longer a concern for Blizzard :-)

Do they still sell StarCraft?

Yes they do.

If people still buy it is another question, but I guess since it's still massive in Asia and is still played on several eSport-Events, that it's possible that people still buy it. It's still one of the best balanced games on the market.

because it doesn't have any protection?
I have several burnt copies lying around, because the original CD (bought in may '98) is too scratched, I kept making copies of the copies :)
3 months ago, I finally got a new US version from a friend in the US, english is soo much cooler than the german version :)

So Phlexonance...are you actually saying that you own only one copy of Starcraft? :-D

Only one original (Terran box) and one original expansion.
Yeah...I know, but I'm frugal ;)
