As it was just announced by Eidos Interactive, their try on a massively multiplayer online role gaming universe with Conan in the lead role will be released on March 25 of 2008. German players will have to wait three more days and can only enter the Age of Conan and his Hyborian Adventures from 28 March onwards.
According to previews by various magazines (print and online) over the last weeks Age of Conan: Hyborian Adventures seemed to be in a really nice shape already, although especially the player-vs-player bits of the game were still quite far from really being finished. So one can only hope that the publisher has given the developers enough time and that this won't be another one of those games that could have been mighty and awesome, if only it had been released a bit later. We've seen enough of those games in the last year.
But enough of all that pessimism. Two months to go for the first rather adult MMORPG.

I hope the game will be ready by that time, they are still sending out invites for some "technical test", which sounded to me like an alpha version. I'm not saying that I got such an invite *cough*, but I would assume that there should be an open beta before and with this in mind, a release in two month sounds really soon.
