BioShock Patch and Content Update Available

BioShock.jpg
United States —

Both the Xbox 360 and PC versions of the story-driven FPS/RPG BioShock received a patch and content update this morning.

Both versions received a variety of basic tweaks, but the Xbox 360 version gets a 100-point achievement called “Brass Balls” for those who can complete the game on the Hard setting without dying. Both versions add new plasmids and tonics: Eve Saver (letting players spend less Eve on plasmid usage), Sonic Boom (that can hurl enemies and objects in Rapture), Vending Expert (allowing players to purchase items from vending machines at lower prices) and Machine Buster (allowing users to do more damage to turrets, bots and cameras).

The PC version of the patch and update can be downloaded from the BioShock support site while the Xbox 360 version will be downloaded automatically. German BioShock players may be interested to learn that the voice-over volume for Atlas has been increased in the German version, since his dialog is so important.

There is a small typo in your news. The guy is called Atlas and not Atlus.

Bioshock (Xbox 360) is still on my yet-to-play shelf, I'm ashamed. But I swear I will continue playing it, once I have had enough of Mass Effect, the Orange Box, Virtua Fighter 5, and Assassin's Creed ...
