Orcs & Elves II Reaches Mobile Phones

Orcs & Elves II Reaches Mobile Phones

United States —

For those of you who play games on their phones, Orcs & Elves II (from Electronic Arts and id Software) has been released through most carriers in North America and should reach Europe in early 2008.

The game is a sequel to the original Orcs & Elves, a fantasy role-playing game for mobile phones. This installment has players taking on the role of Valin, a thief who has stolen a powerful magical wand called Ellon. Valin must now use the wand to save his village with the help of a mouse companion.

Interesting, I wasn't able to actually find this game either on Ea Mobile nor on orcsandelves.com.
Not that I'm really into mobile gaming, I just wanted to fetch more details on what systems this is actually working (Windows Mobile I assume). Do you have a source for this?

It comes directly from EA. Right now, you can't purchase the game directly from EA (only through carriers). I presume that's why it's not on the EA site. For example, you can find it on the North American game site for Verizon.

That page has a list of some of the mobile phones that support the game.

I strive to check my news quite thoroughly, but sometimes companies also sort what you can see by territory, so I might be seeing different information than folks in Europe (which is why I try to specify location). I hope that helps.
