Gears of War online to require Windows Live

The online part of Epics Gears of War PC version is said to require the Windows Live service, according to a current report by CVG.

Also, Kevin Unangst, global director of Games for Windows, recently revealed in an interview with Voodoo Extreme, that the free Windows Live service will be available for both Windows Vista and XP:

Games for Windows - LIVE is the Windows counterpart to our Xbox LIVE online gaming and entertainment network for Windows XP and Windows Vista.
