Massive Report Released on the Eve Online In-Game Economy

United States —

In June of this year, CCP Games hired Dr. Eyjólfur Guðmundsson to be the in-world economist for its massively multiplayer online game Eve Online. This week, Dr. Guðmundsson released Eve Online’s first Quarterly Economic Newsletter.

The QEN covers many of the basics of Eve Online, including player demographics, in-game macroeconomics and price levels of commodities. While the document may be overly technical for gamers who don’t participate in the MMOG, Eve Online gamers will find information in the report that will improve the livelihood of their in-game avatars.

I find this report really interesting and I am delighted to see that someone has put up the required effort to conduct it.
Personally I don't have the necessary free time for an MMORPG but if I would play one, than it would be EVE online.
IMO its a more mature game and the economic aspect is much more sophisticated than in any other MMO. This economic aspect gives the game more appeal than just farming/raiding.

Interesting that I overread this article here on gamersglobal and read it somewhere else afterwards. After recognizing the words "Massive", "Release", "Eve" and "Online" I automatically skipped this item, because I thought it was about some patch or the like.
I would suggest shorter titles eg "Economy Report on EVE"
