Speedruns Become Portal-taculous!Speedruns Become Portal-taculous!

Do you think you are somewhat good at Portal? Do you think you made it through the game most fabulously? Do you think that the cake is a lie? Do you think that these are too many questions at once? Do you think ...? Once again, Power gamers, those who approach games with a sportive spirit, have laid their hands on everyone's beloved Portal game by Valve. Could you be faster than this guy who made it in 18 minutes and 5 seconds?

See, I told you the game is short! ;)
Thank you for posting this here. I'm still trying to figure out which of the commentaries on youtube is my favourite one.
I think it's either the very simple but honest:
a) "That was insane" or
b) "I think my brain just died"
This speedrun is incredible, and for me the funniest part is where GlADOS says that "this chamber could take a very, very, very long time" and just while she is beginning to even say it, the speedrunner is already through it all and on the way to the next challenge. I also have to admit that I did not understand half of what he was doing to get through most of the levels that quick and especially the escape-levels including the boss fight were just unbelievable.
18 minutes and 5 seconds. Holy Cow. This is the time I spent developing bonds of friendship with the companion cube. ;)
I knew that the portal-gun would make speedruns even speedier =)
Why do speedruns always include this annoying bunnyhopping? :(
(I don't mean the bunnyhopping as a means of faster transportation but rather the jumping around while waiting for something)
//edit
now I saw the whole thing
Ouch, my frontal lobe hurts now xD
And I thought I was fast hrhr
Can anyone explain to me what the hell happend in the end fight?
What I can't explain is how he was able to trigger it in that way, that the moral cores (or however you want to call them) of GLaDOS were already out from the beginning on. What I can explain is what the speedrunner did:
some amazing, creative and very, no, very fast stuff. ;)
So, actually, no: I was also just sitting there, looking confused and thinking: "Woahhh!"
Obviously, for Glados to break apart any damage will suffice. So instead of waiting for the deployment of the rocket turret, he let the autogun in the corridor do the shooting. At least that was the explanation I read somewhere... ;)
Yeah, the boss fight was especially funny comment-wise. It's really hard to figure out what the speedrunner does at times. Must have taken a long time to figure all that out, and to bunny-hop through the levels like this.
