Max Payne Movie to star Marky Mark?
Twentieth Century Fox is in negotiations with actor Mark Wahlberg to star in a planned Max Payne movie. According to a report by variety.com, Wahlberg is considered to play titular cop Max Payne.
John Moore (Behind Enemy Lines) is said to be directing the flick based upon the games by Remdey Entertainment. Remdey is currently developing Alan Wake.

According to IMDB Mark Wahlberg is currently 36 years old, and the character of Max Payne can't be much older, but somehow I think that Mark is too young to play a broken cop, but we'll see soon enough.
P.S. I have no idea how accurate it is at this point, but IMDB is listing the Movie for the year 2010, so don't get your hopes up to see this in a few month.

Where's Alan Wake anyway?
As far as I know Alan Wake was delayed and is currently scheduled for the 4th of January 08 .
January 08 seems highly unlikely to me -- they'd miss the Xmas 07 business and would have ramped up PR by now. Last word I know of, is that it'll be out in 2008. See http://www.alanwake.com/forum/showpost.php?p=23016&postcount=2
There's a FAQ up at http://alanwakefaq.com, saying it'll come out "when it's done".
Was just the newest date I could find, I don't seriously believe that'll come out that day as well. Since it's awfully quiet around Alan Wake at the moment, I assume they hit some kind of brick-wall in development, so maybe summer or Christmas '08
