EA’s FIFA Now Supports Five-on-Five Play

When FIFA Soccer ‘08 launched, the game did not support online play for large teams of human players. Yesterday, Electronic Arts launched the “Online Team Play” update for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of FIFA Soccer ‘08.

When Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 owners connect online with FIFA Soccer ‘08, the update will download. Once installed, players can go online with up to four other players (on other consoles) to play against another team of five human players. Only five human players can play on each team, but AI players will fill out the rest of each squad for full games. The update finally allows gamers to play a real game with other people, rather than always serving at the center of the action for their own team.
