Videogame veterans might still remember The Last Starfighter. Back in 1984 this was the first movie that featured special effects (spacecraft, space, etc.) entirely generated on a computer. The main plot, as ridiculous as it may be, was about Alex who beat the Starfighter arcade, only to find himself protecting the galaxy from invasion later as gunner for an alien defense force using his skills that he acquired when playing the StarFighter Arcade ...

Now finally, 23 years later, it is back; and now for real! The guys over at Rogue Synapse were not only able to reproduce the original cabinet used in the movie but also to offer a free downloadable version of the Starfighter game produced (but never released) by Atari:
