The developers of EVE online stated in their forums, that the next major patch to the game will have "formal support Mac OS X and Linux". The Patch was renamed from "Revelations III" to "Trinity" and is about to be deployed next Tuesday, November 6th.

If you want to play now under Linux or Mac, you can get more information and a download link for the client here:

If you would like to have a sneak preview of what it is going to be like playing on the supported OS of your choice, then I suggest you download the full installer and connect to our test server Multiplicity and try it out.

Now that's good news ... the Mac client for EVE Online is finally showing up!

Did someone with a Mac already have time to play on the test server?
