Pirates of the Caribbean MMOG is LivePirates of the Caribbean MMOG is Live
Last updated on October 31, 2007 - 18:52.
Disney Online's game Pirates of the Caribbean has gone live today for the PC and Mac. This massively multiplayer online game is based on the trilogy of "Pirates of the Caribbean" films recently released by Disney. Those films were inspired by a ride from Disney's amusement park, making this the first MMOG inspired by an amusement park ride. The game is free to try, but a $10 per month subscription is required to give players access to the best weapons, ships, quests and the ability to create guilds. Of course, regardless of your subscription status, players will be able to create their own pirate, set sail on their own ship and even meet characters from the films such as Captain Jack Sparrow. Pirates of the Caribbean is designed to be accessible to younger players and players with older computers, so don't expect mature content rendered with the highest resolution graphics to hit your PC. At the same time, this should be an accessible title that will work on most home computers, and that can be played with your children or younger relatives.
