Original news: Minutes ago, Richard Garriott -- sorry, General British, of course -- has announced an End of Beta event for Tabula Rasa. In an e-mail to all Beta testers of his upcoming Science-fiction MMORPG, he said the event would be about killing him (that is: his Alter Ego). The event will begin on Friday, October 26th on 10 pm CST. All participants will receive a special Emote as a thanks.

Garriott also announced that he plans to release new content in the form of updates (which he calls "Operations") in the upcoming months after the offical launch on November 2nd (pre-order customers will be able to start on October 30th, and participate in a Helloween event). The game, which uses a icon language Garriott invented for signs and special skills will be published and managed by nc Soft.
