Update: Valve released the very first image of the upcoming Companion Cube plush toy and a rear-mirror version for the car. The image (seen above) appeared in a news item on Valve's Steam platform. No further details were given.

Toy versions of Portal's weighted Companion Cube have been in production for two months; they'll be here in time for holidays, Jason Holtman of Valve Software reveals. The heart decorated cube is needed to solve a particular section of the puzzle game Portal and is stylized in a unique way. Though, in the end, players are forced to incinerate it to proceed to the next level.
