HanbitSoft on Hellgate: London and Western Territories

Germany —

Thanks to the online game publisher HanbitSoft, the action rpg Hellgate: London was saved for Korean and Asian players. But some fans would like to see the same happen in Western territories.

Kee Young, CEO of HanbitSoft, has now replied to the fan´s enquiries of opening the servers for other territories.

There have been many inquiries from US and European Hellgate players surrounding the availability of the game in those respective territories. HanbitSoft does own the intellectual property of Hellgate: London and is interested in providing the game in the US and Europe, but is unable to do so at this time because Namco Bandai has the publishing rights for those regions. We cannot open up the server in Korea to allow access by US and European players as this will constitute infringing upon Namco Bandai’s publishing rights in the US and Europe. HanbitSoft is currently doing its best to improve the game.

For all those who are still hoping of playing Hellgate: London online again, feel free to feel depressed now.

You even dont need a proxy, but in order to creat an account you need an "Korean Social Security Nummber" and selling a "KSSN" can be punished with 10 years jail. So its not likly to find an Korean who sells his KSSN...
