CCP plans to release an overhaul of its massively multiplayer online game Eve Online this winter called the Trinity Edition. The update should both add considerable content and overhaul the game's graphics.

Concerning the graphics, CCP has remodeled every ship and space station in Eve Online to dramatically update the polygon count of objects in the game. The update will include a new shader engine and plenty of new environmental effects to improve the appearance of shadows and nebulae in the game.

New Content for the Trinity Edition will include new kill missions and the return of mining missions, as well as revisions to the rewards for faction loyalty. New Tech II ships will be introduced, adding battleships and heavy cruisers. There will also be revisions to the combat system that will make things easier for new players while simultaneously making tweaks to issues like drone management, heat damage attenuation, repair routines and mid-flight bomb deployment.
