Fallout 3 level cap to be raised to Level 30 with DLCFallout 3 level cap to be raised to Level 30 with DLC

If I announce on January 8th of 2009 that I have just seen the most mesmerizing screenshot of the year, than that probably doesn't really count as much. But: The three new screenshots that Bethesda Softworks released for the first Fallout 3 downloadable content pack Operation: Anchorage (especially the one you can see in our header pic) are still definitely very promising. The best part is: Operation Anchorage will already be released this month. Then comes The Pitt in February, and in March Broken Steel will, as was recently announced in an interview with Eurogamer, raise the level cap of Fallout 3 to Level 30. [W]e felt there's no harm in letting the player enjoy the game as long as they'd like, and so along with removing the game's "ending" with Broken Steel, we figure raising the level cap would allow them to do that. We plan on raising it to level 30 - but it will be a long, hard climb to get there! Looks like Bethesda could have learned from releasing useless DLC for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. During the next three months, we will have plenty of opportunity to find out if this really turns out to be true.

So we're at least 3 months away from getting rid of that level cap (apart from the possibility of using mods- which could screw your saves). I dunno if i really want to get my character over level 20 though, it would make him a wasteland-superman...
It's been 48h into the game for me, and i'm in vault 87 or smthg and already have reached lv 20... And i assume i still have a few hours before the end...
The game is great even despite the fact that leveling up is WAY to fast.
But i've been thinking lately (doing what...?! impossible!!:) that the level cap is, at least partially a good thing, but- while it prevents you from getting an overpowered character, i still get the feeling that by not letting me get any more xp (now at lv 20) i'm being PUNISHED for exploring early in the game... And i know i'm not the only one feeling that way... Now i get back to the main quest and there's nothing for me to actually get, in terms of advancing my character, which a bit makes the game not THAT fun...
It still is fun of course, exploring new places and all, but it just seems like i'm missing smthg in the process...
So what i'm trying to say is- levelling up shoul've been WAY slower. I feel that removing the level cap is not the way to change that.
Fallout 4 should do better than that:)
