A new Prince of Persia game is currently in the works at Ubisoft, which is rumored to be the first of three prequel titles. According to unconfirmed information, the first prequel is said to feature a younger prince along with a female companion (the white character pictured above).

Ghosts of the Past (presumed working title) is also said to return to a more colorful style, contrary to the rather adult oriented last two Prince of Persia games. The source further speculates, that the first prequel will be out in the second half of 2008, followed by the next game in mid 2009 to accompany the currently in pre-production Prince of Persia movie.
