Collector's Edition for Street Fighter IV announced

Germany —

It's been long since a fighting game was as highly awaited as Street Fighter IV, which will be released for PS3 and Xbox 360 on February 20th 2009 in Europe and Australia. This does not really come as a surprise. Street Fighter is not any fighting series, after all. Which is why the recently announced Collector's Edition is also not going to be any Collector's Edition.

It is going to include figures of Ryu (who does not know him?) and Crimson Viper. Then there is, of course, the game itself. But there will also be a second disc including an anime movie about the Street Fighter universe in High Definition and in feature length. A little collection of pre-release trailers for the game will also be included on there. For those of you who want to get their fighting on a whole new level of expertise, the mini strategy guide is probably the most interesting feature of the CE. It will detail moves and biographies of some characters in an art-book style.

And then there still is exclusive access to downloadable content, although no specifics about that are known yet. But if we had to take a wild guess, we would probably bet on some new downloadable stages.

Ryu commented on the CE recently by saying: "Hadouken!" That probably means he's excited.

It should also be noted that a new bunch of arcade SFIV sticks by MadCatz will be available in February: the Tournament Edition high-quality FightStick (100% Sanwa), and the less expensive normal version. Currently, Amazon.com, the only place I found where the sticks can be preordered, only ships within the US of A.
