Does Peter Molyneux finally deliver with Fable 2?Does Peter Molyneux finally deliver with Fable 2?

Well: It has not been too good a time for Peter Molyneux during the last couple of years. Every single game he made since Black & White has been announced as a revolution for the gaming genre, probably it's even safe to say that games from Peter Molyneux are responsible for bringing the "hype" into gaming culture. But: He was never really able to deliver on the promises he made. His games were always far from being bad, but when you keep telling everyone that your game is going to be amazing, and in the end it's only okay: well, it's a bit of a disappointment for everyone, I would say. Which is why most gamers out there were very cautious with hyping his new game Fable 2 too much. When you read the previews, you could most of the time actually hear the previewer think: "Okay, this just sounds great, but: calm down. You know what happened earlier. Resist the hype." But right now, the first reviews of Fable 2 are out, and they sound quite amazing. Eurogamer has given the game a 10/10 and IGN rate it with a 9.5/10. Both of them state that Fable 2 delivers a overwhelming game world with social interaction so deep that you really have to invest time into the game to recognize its wealth. To cut it short: Fable 2 seems to exceed expectations in its unique selling points. Apart from that, it doesn't bring the RPG genre any further. But the results of the decisions you must make are apparently unmatched. I didn't have my hands on the review version of Fable 2 yet, but those reviews coming from sources that are known for not giving good grades like this to many games definitely make me want to. Peter, keeping one's promises is great. How 'bout doing this with all your projects from now on?

Nice article. Other rankings I found: (German) GamePro 88/100 and Kikizo 9/10.
Okay, almost every review I read about Fable 2 was very positive. Alors Peter, tu n'es plus un baratineur (I wrote he'd be one a long time ago).
No one admires my French :(
I don't even speak enough French to insult someone, but I have to wonder what your parents mixed into your genetical cocktail to make you speak 3 languages with the age of 14.
And please don't tell me that you can also haggle in Spanish and can tell a few good jokes in Latin, that would only depress me.
I'm learning Spanish since September 2007, but (to be honest) it is actually too much. I don't really learn much vocab and confuse lots of times. The only Latin word I know is "Salve". BTW: My parents just speak an average English (I bully my mum with that sometimes) and German with a horrible south-western accent;).
Ah you were raised bilingually then, that explains a lot, I always wondered why your English is so good in your age.
No, no! I wasn't. I wanted to say that they talk their mother tongue (which is only German) in a very special way (-> accent), like the most people here in Baden.:) They both learned English in school, but they don't need it very often, so it's average. I just practise English very much, when I'm reading articles on international websites or when I'm watching films with subheadings etc.
you mean subtitles :-)
Yeah, sorry. My English teacher, she's doing a very bad job. The mistake was the protest for correcting my class test so strictly. Got a 2, which is not very good at all for me. It's her last year at school and so she wants to be the old, unfair devil with red hair in our memories. ;)
On topic: I'm very torn on Fable2, I liked the first part and I like what I heard so far, but that the game was sold exclusively to Microsoft for the Xbox makes me really bitter. Hope they will release Fable2 for the PC before it's technically outdated this time.
