In an interview with VG247 creative director of Tom Clancy's Endwar by Ubisoft cheered up PC gamers with the news that "there's no reason not to" do a PC version of Ubisoft's voice-controlled strategy game. The stuff I worked on previously was Total War, which are PC games. In many ways, gameplay-wise, it’s a modern warfare, Tom Clancy version of Total War. With a demo to come prior to launch, EndWar will be released for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 on November 7.

The voice-controlling is innovative, but do pc players really need it? It's definitely difficult to command troops and to build buidlings with a gamepad, so it's an excellent feature for all rts fans who have a console, but I don't think the voice controlling will be as accurate as the mouse /keyboard.
Thing is that you can do both at the same time. Control it via pad or kb/ms and voice commands. From what I have heard the voice-command works truly great even with background noise. I agree though: the core gameplay mechanics are more interesting to making RTS games sprout on console soil.
