Fable 2: No coop mode at launchFable 2: No coop mode at launch

One of the biggest selling points of Fable 2 was surely not the new companion Sara N at Gamerscore Blog wrote:
[T]hey are still making tweaks to the online co-op. Don't worry, it is definitely still coming. [...] Lionhead and Microsoft Game Studios are looking to get the update out within the first week of launch in North America, so again, don't think this is going to be a decade long wait. This comes as bittersweet news for all the RPG enthusiasts that thought Fable 2 had really gone gold. Apparently, not all coop features will be disabled though. "Having said that, as you are playing through the game, you will still be able to see your friends as glowing orbs as well as chat and trade with them." We will keep you updated as soon as a date for the update is set. We are of the opinion that quality certainly goes over a rushed coop mode. What do you think? Are you still in for Fable 2 on October 21? Or do you rather wait with the purchase until the coop update has really kicked in? Tell us in the comments below! The role-playing game Fable II, developed by Lionhead Studios, comes out exclusively for the Xbox 360 video game system on October 21 in the States (UK: Oct 24, AU: Oct 23). The standard edition will cost $59.99 (Limited Collector's Edition: $79.99).

The new GameStar issue has an interesting article about cancelled features, hope Fable's develoeprs will make everything Fable 2's co-op mode won't end in such a list.
