Dead Space gets a Special EditionDead Space gets a Special Edition
Last updated on October 17, 2008 - 15:40.
Electronic Art's ambitious horror game Dead Space will get an Ultra Limited Special Edition. The box will include Dead Space Downfall which is an animated film on dvd, a Dead Space graphic novel, an Ishimura Crew - patch, a dvd with bonus content, a precious artbook with comments by the game's developers and a lithography artwork. That's a lot of nice stuff for horror fans, so this edition will cost 90€. In the moment it seems like EA will release the SE neither for the pc nor for PS3. That means Xbox 360 owners are the only gamers who can get this extended Dead Space experience.

Not my problem, I'm still too young for playing such a game. It's just again unfair for poor pc players. But, wait: The game will be released for the xbox, that means Windows. Xbox = Microsoft and Microsoft = Windows/PC. No, there must be something wrong, no company on earth would release such a great special edition just for one of their platforms ....
The folks at Microsoft Interactive Enterainment are releasing their BIGGEST HIT for one of their platform only (Halo 3), so this is just in line with their strategy, on a much smaller scale.
I think Halo is an exception here. It's not only just another exclusive title but THE platform-defining title on the Xbox 360. They would have done no good if they had released it cross-platform from day one. I still believe that the PC gets H3 sooner or later (more later though).
I totally agree. Halo is definitely the most important Xbox franchise but even the Master Chiefs's adventures came to the pc (after a couple of years), but Dead Space is by EA who are THE multiplatform developer and they've already shown us that they're able to make great SEs (Spore Galactic Edition).
Could anyone enhance my little article with a scary picture of the game, please. You know, I'm just a reporter, I'm not able to do that. ;-)
Not so sure about the scary part, but it's a picture :-)
Sorry for being so late, I wasn't around for a while and I'm still catching up.
BTW: another 180 points and you're there.
Thank you. It's great that you're back, Starkiller.
