Mirror's Edge Special Edition announced

Mirror's Edge Special Edition announced

Germany —

Electronic Arts announced they will release a special edition of their upcoming Parkour game Mirror's Edge. The unique thing about it will be a stylish runner's bag (made by the company Timbuk2) which can be used to transport valuable information in the real world. Unfortunately, the innovative Special Edition won't see a PC release at the current state of information. That's a good argument to buy one of the console versions and to forget about the game's PC version that won't be released this year anyway. The price for Mirror's Edge Special Edition is set at a quite pricey $129.95. Ugh ...

Mirror's Edge is a first-person parkour-inspired action game by Swedish developer EA DICE.

I'm getting very jealous ... that's just unfair! EA mustn't wonder if no one wants to buy ME's pc version next year. Neither better graphics nor boring new features could make me satisfied. Example Assassin's Creed: Very high system requirments for a little better graphics and boring new investigation possibilities).

I didn't get it. A real bag or an ingame item?

It's a real bag, the addtitional information about the the transporting of valuable information is just a little joke I read on every single website that already made a news about the SE. Shall I make this part of the text italic type?

I've modified the news. Do you like it better that way?

Yep, I got it now. I'm not really sure if there are rules (or rather guidelines, Mr. Sparrow?) to use our tools bold, italics and underline

The price is ... well, it seems the SE won't be cheap. I hope EA doesn't expect we pay so much money for a bag (maybe it's a high-qualitiy bag, okay), there must be other (yet unknown) special content. Can anyone tell me what's 130 $ in € ??

About €90 - at least if the currency convertor aunt google found was up to date. ;)

Thank you. This number sounds much better, but it's still not worth buying it.

Well, they probably just change the dollar sign for a euro sign in the european release and leave the number as is. Wouldn't be the first time.

Rock Band is the best example I know. Does anyone know if it sold well here in Europe?

Ok, I do want this bag, I guess I'm already a fanboy, but 130 bucks sounds a bit nutty, for that kinda money I want those crazy shoes as well. Because 130$ is still a lot of buying power in the US and we all know that it will then be 120-150€ in Europe.

And correct me if I'm wrong, but it feels like every major game is now coming only month later for the PC, the now second-class gaming system.
