British developer Rockstar North announced the recommended system requirements for the upcoming PC version of their game GTA IV. However, if you consider Rockstar's promise of better graphics, those PC version specs seem to be pretty modest:
- Windows XP SP2
- Dual Core Processor (Intel Pentium D or better)
- 2GByte RAM
- 512MB Direct3D 10 compatible video card or Direct3D 9 card compatible "with Shader" (no more specific shader model was named yet)
- HDD: 18 GByte
- DVD-ROM (Dual-Layer)
With this specs the game will surely look better than the console versions. GTA IV will be released this November. A Collector's Edition for GTA IV PC hasn't been announced yet.

Well, 2 GB RAM and 1/2 GB video card RAM sounds not very modest to me :/. Is there any game out there which needs more than 2 GB of RAM? And 18 GB HDD isn't modest, either. Or am i getting old?
